Top Kitchen Trends for 2017
With 2017 now upon us, and as we look forward to signs of Spring we also start thinking about our homes. Here at Noble Kitchens we have looked at and have selected a few of the top kitchen design trends to look out for this year, which may inspire your kitchen project!
The industrial look
The industrial trend has emerged over the past 18 months and this year is set to be a popular choice. Combining natural wood grains with concrete textures and steel appliances; the urban kitchen is on trend for 2017.
The modern shaker kitchen
Historically, solid wood kitchens have always stood for quality and durability. But as trends and tastes have changed, the consumer is now looking for that contemporary twist. Modern shaker kitchens are the answer – available in a range of profiles from subtle to more defined, and available in any colour – having the best of both worlds is possible.
There has been much talk in the press lately of celebrities and their kitchen storage tips. Most kitchens don’t have the space for a pantry. But, a well designed larder can be a good alternative to store away food, herbs and spices and small appliances!
Reduce that kitchen clutter!
Gone are the days of having pretty kilner jars filled with various pasta and pulses on display, or utensils in pots on the kitchen worksurface. Organisation is key and utilising your cupboard and drawer space in your kitchen is the way forward. There are so many storage components available that can be built into cupboards that save space and hide away any unnecessary kitchen items – giving you the space to enjoy spending time in your kitchen, however you choose!
The finishing touches can really give a kitchen the added ‘wow factor’. Although stainless steel is still a popular choice within the kitchen market, brushed brass is also becoming more popular – offering a warmer tone within the kitchen – whether that be in the form of a understated cupboard handle, or a beautiful pendant light above a kitchen island – there is so much choice available.
